The daughter of a coach and a dancer, movement has always been part of Joyce’s life. “I remember teenage me coming home from school after a bad day my dad saying ‘go for a run and then we’ll talk.’ That’s how I learned the power of exercise.”
An idea junkie and serial entrepreneur, Joyce has always believed that walking is magic for moms and early this year, she undertook a study on the “State of Mom.” Among the things she learned? 72% of moms admit that they are lonely but moms who regularly walk with friends? They are 2.5 times less likely to be very lonely. And, walking has a myriad of other benefits, from improving fitness, reducing stress, decreasing dementia risk and fueling creativity.
Deeply committed to improving the “state of mom” by getting moms up, connected and walking together, Joyce’s mission is simple: get a million moms moving.
Currently the 27th ranked CrossFit masters athlete in the world, fitness, wellness, strength, and grit are Eric’s hallmarks.
Coaching is what Eric does best and loves most. In fact, he’s been coaching his entire adult life, first as a ski coach and later as a CrossFit coach. And his “day job?” Coaching hundreds of moms on how to run their businesses to be more successful. Eric believes that the key to quality coaching is to make it fun and interesting and being sure that everyone leaves a little further along their journey.
Eric lives near the beach in the Hamptons and enjoys surfing, beach cookouts with friends and family, and, of course, CrossFit. He’s excited to share his passion with the 99 Walks community.
Jillie is a life coach, speaker, worthiness warrior, and joy spreader. She is the founder of The Worthiness Mindset podcast. Her mission is to empower people to rediscover their voice, worth, and power. She works with clients internationally to help them see and cultivate their worthiness to live the life of their dreams.
She is currently building out a van with her partner and about to set sail on a journey around the U.S. to spread her message and inspire others. She is a fitness guru, outdoor enthusiast, mindfulness junkie, and personal development groupie.
Jillie is excited to bring her passion, energy, and joy to the community of 99 Walks.
Jenny has been moving and grooving her entire life — she started dance lessons in kindergarten and never looked back.
Now, more than 30 years later, she is a Pilates Mat, Barre, and Yoga instructor, with over 16 years of teaching experience. She graduated from Hollins University with a BA in Dance, before moving to New York City to pursue her love of modern dance and teaching fitness classes. Jenny incorporates her many years of dance with her experience as an instructor to form well-balanced classes for students of all ages. She focuses on breath and body awareness in classes that are always varied, fun and non-competitive, and she usually has a “trick” up her sleeve … even when she’s wearing a tank top!
She enjoys going to the many beaches in Rhode Island, drinking wine with friends, and going on family walks with her husband, daughter, son, and Maltese pup!
